Stories Told in Photographs

A portfolio should show more than technically successful photographs. It should reveal how a photographer sees the world.

This collection brings together work created on assignment, on the street, while travelling, around the coast and increasingly from life connected to the sea.

The subjects change, but the approach remains consistent: observe first, understand the situation and photograph the moment without forcing it.

Real people. Real places. Real moments.

Seven Ways of Looking

Each collection explores a different part of my work, but together they form one visual language.

The strongest photographs rarely begin with “What should this look like?” They begin with “What is actually happening here?”

The Approach

Observation Before Decoration

Different assignments require different techniques, but the principles behind the work remain remarkably similar.

01

Be Present

Good photographs often happen before someone announces that something important is about to occur. Being present means watching continuously.

02

Stay Curious

The obvious photograph is useful. The photograph beyond the obvious is usually the one worth remembering.

03

Keep It Human

Technique matters, but it should support the story. The subject remains more important than the equipment.

From London streets to distant coastlines, the portfolio will continue to grow as Musar opens new routes to new stories.
